Share your views on hospital discharge

Residents across the Fylde coast are invited to share their experience of being discharged from hospital to help improve the service.

NHS Fylde and Wyre CCG, NHS Blackpool CCG and Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are working in partnership to review and improve local patient discharge processes.  As part of this review, a number of focus groups will be held for patients to share their experiences, highlight any problems they may have encountered and how the service could be improved.

The focus groups will take place as follows:

  • Tuesday 20 January 2015, 10am to 12pm,
Annes-on-Sea United Reform Church, St Georges Road, Lytham St Annes, FY8 2AE
  • Thursday 22 January 2015, 2pm to 4 pm,
Solaris Centre, New South Promenade, Harrowside, Blackpool, FY4 1RW
  • Monday 26 January 2015, 2pm to 4pm,
Wyre Civic Centre, Breck Road, Poulton-le-Fylde, FY6 7PU

Leading the focus groups is Fylde and Wyre CCG community engagement manager Amanda Bate. She said: “Understanding the experiences of patients being discharged from hospital is vital in helping us to find ways to make improvements.  Our focus groups are often lively and informative and we would like to invite patients and carers who have been discharged from hospital in the last 12 months to come along and share their views.”

Anybody wishing to attend is politely asked to confirm their attendance before Friday 16 January 2015 by emailing enquiries@fyldeandwyreccg.nhs.uk or calling 01253 956400.
